Let's register voters...and get out the word about Barack Obama in the North East San Fernando Valley. Hansen Dam is holding their annual music festival and fireworks event. They have promised us a table. Music starts at 11am - we will go til about 7 when the fireworks get started. Please call for more info - Comments: include times you could be available. We need some folks that speak Spanish. We will support all shifts with an experienced voter registrar to answer questions.

Barack the Beach! (Voter Registration Drive) on Saturday, July 5th!

Sure, we all love the Valley, but hey, this is California and we've got a coastline. (So far, no oil drilling here!) So on Saturday, July 5th, we're going to hit the beach to register voters and to highlight Obama campaign visibility. And then we'll set up for our own beach day. Temperatures in the Valley on Saturday are predicted to be 105; temperatures at the beach 75. The choice is clear! Join us! Barack the Beach! We'll be doing voter registration until about 2 pm and then just enjoying the beach. So bring the whole family!

This is on PCH, about 6 miles north of Pepperdine University/Malibu Canyon Road, which is the most direct canyon connection from the West Valley.

We'll be camped on the sand, under a green canopy, between the Food facility and Lifeguard Tower 5. There's a large parking lot at the beach and all the needed facilities.
