Valley for Obama Political Book Club
Valley for Obama's Political Book Club! On the second Monday evening of each month, we meet and have dinner/coffee at the Aroma Cafe in Studio City and discuss the book of the month. Whether you've read the book or not, you're welcome to join us and the discussion. We meet at 6:30 pm for dinner in the back patio and then hold our discussion meeting from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. The book for our July 12 meeting, is John Heilemann and Mark Halperin's book, "Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime" Sign up here! This Book Club is being done with the support of both the Aroma Cafe--which is reserving space in its back patio for our meetings--and the independent bookstore inside the Aroma Cafe, called Portrait of a Bookstore--which is offering 20% discounts on book club books purchased there. To order books there, just call 818-769-3853, say the magic words "Valley for Obama Political Book Club," and special order your book(s) for pickup at the bookstore.
